Hello, welcome! I'm a beginner builder and have a query. I own a Ryzen 7 3700X and an ASUS B550-F Wi-Fi with an 8+4 pin cable. I'm unsure if it's okay to connect both cables directly without overclocking, since some people say 8 pins are sufficient. What should I do?

It won't cause any damage. Keep in mind, power works by pulling rather than pushing. You could build an AM4 board with 20 8-pin CPU power connectors and connect them all together. It wouldn't matter at all.
