Hello! This might not be the best forum for sharing this kind of build info. I'm new here and just connected my ASUS 4070 Ti Super using the included 12-pin adapter. It didn’t click in, but it fit snugly on the card. The cable is really durable and stiff. When I removed it, I saw some wires coming out in the middle—was that intentional or a mistake?

It started up before I placed everything inside my case. After putting it together, I spotted the cable. I didn’t want to damage my GPU, so I’m planning to test it later at home. Just wanted to check in first.

This might be typical for your specific PSU model, and any issues won’t affect the output—nothing will occur if the product is defective.

They seem like damaged wires. I suspect the issue isn’t yours and it’s not typical (appears to be a production flaw). I’d recommend contacting customer support for help. Keep in mind that even if the connector is broken, it might still function but could pose a fire risk.

Confirming compatibility: 8 pin to 6+2 PCIe. Note the adapter supports 12 pins but is designed for Nvidia devices.

I appreciate the response, but it seems the connection might still be an issue. I reached out to Asus chat support, who advised that as long as the cable is properly inserted, it shouldn’t damage the card. If the wires are defective, they suggested getting a replacement. I’m hopeful I’ll be up and running when I get home!

It's the NVIDIA adapter. If it doesn't start and you're unsure, it's probably not your fault—consider filing a warranty claim.
