Connectivity problems with USB on the Dell WD19TBS dock.
Initially shared on r/Dell three weeks ago without any replies. I’m experiencing some oddities with USB connections on a Dell Dock. A hub powered by Aukey is connected, and all my peripherals are plugged in. I’m using three different computers—one WD19TBS, one Dell Latitude 7400, and another Dell Latitude 5440—to the same dock. Each runs Windows 11 8th gen i7 8665U with 32GB RAM. All systems are up to date today. Systems 1 and 3 function perfectly. System 2 works without any issues. However, when using system 2, nothing from the hub shows up in Windows. Displays, networking, and charging operate normally. Peripherals connected to the hub but not linked to a computer enter a default mode with pulsing rainbow LEDs, and the stream deck logo appears. Booting system 2 is smooth except for unconnected USB devices. Display output and network functions are fine, but anything plugged into the hub remains invisible in Windows. I’ve tried several fixes: rebooting, updating via Windows Update, disabling Dell’s power management, moving peripherals to laptop ports, relocating the hub to a laptop port, testing with USB drives, and using the Dell Firmware Update Utility. The message says “No Dell Dock attached” when trying to update firmware. I’ve reset the dock by removing the Thunderbolt cable, unplugging the AC adapter, holding the power button for 30-40 seconds, then reconnecting. When connected to system 3 using the Dell utility, the dock appears updated. It’s unclear whether the problem lies with Windows or the dock itself, but both seem to clash.
USBTreeView displays information about all three devices in a single interface.
