Hi everyone, I'm facing a connection issue with my computer. Sometimes when I open apps like Steam, Battle.net or League of Legends, the app reports no connection. But when I try Google, I see I have a working connection. For instance, about three days ago I played with friends via Discord. When the game was about to start, I lost connection, and the launcher said it couldn't reconnect. I also lost connection to Discord, but I could keep playing. When I tried to restart Discord, it didn't work. I reinstalled my Ethernet drivers and it helped temporarily, but the problem returned. I suspect this might be related to Windows 10 since I had no issues with it on Windows 8.1.

Give us some more info. What hardware do you have and describe your network setup. Can't help without info.

Regarding the hardware: The motherboard is GA-970A-DS3P, CPU is AMD FX 8350, GPU is Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 (GV-N960G1 GAMING-4GD), RAM is HyperX Kingston Fury 8GB 1866MHz DDR3, power supply is EVGA 0600-K1 80 PLUS Bronze, 24-pin ATX, 120mm, 600W. Is this sufficient? For the network setup, you're asking about how your PC is connected. If so, it's linked to a TP-Link 150Mbps Tl-wr741nd 1 Antenna via Ethernet, which connects to the main router—a cloud router from EnGenius Wireless (2.4 GHz Wireless N300 IoT Cloud Router with built-in switch). It's also noted that your laptop runs Windows 10 and uses the same TP-Link router with an Ethernet cable, though you haven't experienced disconnection issues. I checked the cable and it works fine. Perhaps the issue lies with the motherboard? My brother has a second revision of the board and doesn't have these problems.

I recalled we have a Wi-Fi adapter, I'll attempt to connect it to the computer and check it for a while. If it stays connected during playback, it might indicate a motherboard issue, correct?
