Hi, your setup seems to be working fine. You've upgraded your ISP speed and noticed improvements in upload, but download remains at 120 Mbps. Since you're wired and connected directly to the router, the issue might not be with your modem. Check for interference or try a different cable.
Cable modems typically perform better at download speeds than upload, often around 1/5. A speed of 6mbps falls short for the expected 120mbps download. Checking online via a quick search confirms this is standard. Your ISP should provide a stronger device since they pledged at least 200mbps.
Thanks for the update. The modem belonged to my dad, and I didn’t realize it was the issue until now. I chose to purchase a CM1200.
For 200 Mbps speeds, most providers require an 8x4 cable modem. Your current model is only 4x4. I’d consider a 16x4, 24x8 or a Docsis 3.1 option.
