We recently moved to Frontier internet at 500mbps. My PC connected via Ethernet is performing at full capacity, but my wireless adapter only manages about 110mbps download and 50mbps upload. I understand wireless connections can vary, but this speed is quite low. Is this typical? If not, what steps can I take to improve it?

Many factors influence WiFi performance, such as the band you're using—like 2.4GHz versus 5GHz—and how many devices are connected on that frequency. How close are you to the router or access point, and are there any physical barriers like walls or obstacles? Your PC's WiFi adapter capabilities and the router's support must also match. Neighbors may cause some interference. Generally, 110Mbps is a reasonable expectation given typical hardware limitations.
