Yes, I can capture and share images of the available choices along with details about the adapter.
The lan cable connects to a device such as a switch, router, powerline adapter, or wall mount. I don't have information about its gigabit compatibility.
It's a Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller installed on an MSI Z87 G45 gaming motherboard. All drivers are current. The router is a new Verizon model with gigabit internet and gigabit ports. Connecting my laptop via the same cable gives me 1Gbps, which is the computer's speed. I'm unsure why it dropped from 1Gbps to that lower rate.
there is a cat6 cable connecting the computer to a wall jack. the wall jack sends the signal back to the office directly, which is plugged into a verizon fios gigabit router.
I checked around and it looks like it needs to be on Auto for 1Gbps to work properly. If it wasn’t set up correctly, that might indicate a problem. You could also try connecting your laptop to the PC and checking the speed—100Mbps would suggest an issue with the network card. If you need a better option, ordering an Intel gigabit PCI-E NIC for around $15 off Amazon is an alternative.
The board seems to be wearing out. Appreciate your support. I have PCI ports free, so maybe that's the way to go. Thanks again!
You're connecting your PC to the network via an 8-conductor Ethernet, with four separate Ethernet cables in use—both between devices and across routers and switches.
