You've experienced a significant difference in internet speeds depending on the connection type. It seems the issue isn't with the cables or router, as your laptop works fine on both wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi. You explored the possibility of a faulty Ethernet port on your motherboard, but the problem persists. Since you're using Windows 10, consider checking for software updates or network configuration settings that might affect performance. Also, ensure your router is properly configured and not overloaded. If the problem continues, a hardware test or consulting a technician could be helpful.

I would begin by reinstalling the drivers.

Have you restarted all connected gadgets from the internet to the PC, encountering any difficulties? Modem, router, switches, etc.? What does the Ethernet connection speed display in Windows? Does the issue affect all wired devices equally? And how does it appear on a non-Windows device?

This is the speedtest from my pc; And the speedtest using the same connection but plugged into my laptop gives: The problem must be with my pc since when its connected to my laptop it works fine. The laptop is running windows 11, I would try updating my pc to windows 11 but it cannot.

Running a VPN connection. Possibly using apps that limit your bandwidth. Ethernet settings are optimized for power efficiency.

You can locate the adapter settings without using a VPN by checking your device's built-in network options directly.

The issue might stem from a Windows configuration somewhere, or a software installation affecting the setup. We should eliminate hardware concerns and try a Linux bootable drive to see if the problem persists. Options like Ubuntu, Manjaro, or Mint are all straightforward to set up for such tasks.
