Connection problems on Ethernet? Driver complications?
Hello! I use a desktop computer with fiber internet. Occasionally, I download or upload data like others do. My motherboard is an Asus z170-P. I’m experiencing an issue where at high speeds (around 500 Mbps), when I reach maximum download/upload, the connection drops and I can’t get online. Changing the Ethernet cable or restarting doesn’t help. The only solution so far is to restart the device repeatedly, which isn’t a permanent fix. I’ve tried resetting the network settings and updating the LAN driver, but nothing works. It often reports that it can’t assign a valid IP configuration, possibly due to a standard gateway problem. The latest driver I have is from 2015 and hasn’t resolved the issue. I play games and use Steam, but there’s another problem: my Ethernet connection sometimes drops for 10–15 seconds, especially when streaming YouTube videos. This happens repeatedly and seems unrelated to other devices on the same network. I’m using Windows 10, 64-bit, and everything is up to date. Do you have any advice or suggestions? Any ideas would be appreciated!
