I've experienced this for a couple of months now. Steam shows connection issues, but I can still stream videos and chat in Discord without trouble. The problem also affects my ability to join game servers across different games. Sometimes it works perfectly, other times I get disconnected unexpectedly. My ISP (Xfinity) has checked everything and reported no issues. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Tell me about your hardware setup—router, modem, and whether you've used bridge mode. It helps pinpoint the issue and guide a solution.

I faced some connection problems with Steam previously, and it seems launching it in administrator mode helped resolve the issue. The reason behind it wasn’t clear, but it was definitely worth trying.

System Specifications: CPU - Intel Core i7-9700F MOBO, GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, RAM - Corsair 16GB DDR4, PS - Corsair 750W. Router and modem included in one unit from Xfinity. I understand the setup might be due to my ISP, but Xfinity seems less favorable compared to others.

That was the second attempt I made after simply shutting down and restarting Steam.

I'm trying to assist and it seems best to use your own modem/router, maybe in bridgemode if possible. If I were you, I'd explore that option. I've been using a Fritzbox Modemrouter for over 20 years, so I'm not sure what the younger generation uses these days! (By the way, I got it for free too!)
