I've consistently managed to connect to my network without issues, but today I'm facing a strange issue. My wired setup works perfectly except for accessing any pages. Hovering over the network icon shows internet access, yet a diagnostic says "Windows Can’t Communicate with the Device or Resource." I've flushed DNS, renewed it, restarted the computer, but nothing helps. The cables are fine—I could browse on Linux too. Windows seems to be behaving oddly, and I'm not sure why. I'm unsure what to do and don't want to reinstall Windows right now.

Have you checked if you can turn off and turn back on your network card in the device manager? It seems you can also adjust it through "network adapter settings." The exact label might be forgotten, but it worked for me sometimes.

I also attempted that, but it isn't functioning.

My understanding of networking is limited, but sharing the ipconfig file would definitely assist others. Just ensure no private details or IP addresses are included.

I just verified it matches what I see on my laptop, so I’m not sure this offers any new information.

Check if the laptop uses the same cable. Could there be any issues with the firewall or antivirus affecting it? Let our networking team handle this.

Do you have a default gateway set up? Would you like me to test connectivity to it? Can it communicate with other devices on the network? It might be helpful to start by launching Windows in Safe Mode with Networking. If that doesn't resolve the issue, I recommend checking your network drivers. Once functioning, we should review your antivirus or firewall settings, as they can sometimes interrupt internet access unexpectedly.
