Hi there, I'm currently developing a project for a client and setting up some systems that will be stored securely. I can only say so much about NDAs, but basically these systems shouldn't connect to the internet for management—they need remote control since they're kept in a protected room. They don’t require advanced features; just basic control is sufficient. I’m not sure what the exact systems are yet and can’t test them directly because I don’t have enough to work with. I’m reaching out to the community for advice. Any suggestions or feedback would be really helpful. Thanks in advance! Maybe a local network instead of an internet-connected one? If that’s not possible, could Ethernet be used to set up a private LAN? Appreciate any recommendations!

Additionally, I’m keen on keeping costs low, though money isn’t the main concern. If a more affordable alternative exists with higher value, it’s worth exploring. Thanks again!

I believe the most affordable option is a Wi-Fi router for servers and a laptop equipped with Wi-Fi. Set up a remote desktop listener on the servers and employ a remote desktop application on your PC, laptop, tablet, or phone.

Yes, it should function without needing real service. The setup needs to be a closed loop to verify it works, as long as your devices remain connected to the same network. Thanks!
