Connection loss while using the internet under heavy demand.
Recently at my workplace, the internet connection began to drop when about 20 people were using the WiFi. We attempted to restart the router and modem, but the issue resolved within less than a minute before it reoccurred. I verified the lights on both devices; the modem appeared to be functioning normally, yet the router's internet indicator was off. Could this be related to my ISP or is it due to the router struggling with high traffic? For context, I’m using a TP-link AC1200. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It seems to rely on the number of simultaneous downloads, but it shouldn't disrupt the entire site's internet connection. I think there might be an issue with the device or its capacity. You could attempt to swap it out and restart it. If it works, the problem was likely with the unit or its limits. (It probably shouldn't handle 20 wireless clients easily.)
Your office connection is running at maximum capacity, which is causing the network to drop.
