Connection loss on Asus RT-N66U device
Connection loss on Asus RT-N66U device
It functioned well for five months before issues began roughly ten days ago. The router loses connection every three days or so. It supports PPPOE, and I contacted the ISP who confirmed the modem is operational but pointed to the router as the issue. I’m not very familiar with internet troubleshooting, so someone here might be able to assist. The log file is attached as log.txt.
Your router has rebooted to refresh itself. On the network, it didn’t confirm certain details when you tried to connect—check its configuration for update status and auto-shutdown options, then verify the latest version to rule out unexpected restarts.
Auto reboot is disabled and updates don’t start automatically after logging in. If the router receives an update, I’ll let you know and you’ll have to approve before it proceeds.
the power supply is genuine. before that i used a Linksys router which would lose connection every couple of days, and there were no logs to check, so i couldn't fix it. i switched to this one and it worked perfectly for six months. the main issue is that i'm running a TS3 server, and anything connected affects everyone on the server.
It didn’t seem to function properly before. It would work briefly but then drop after a couple of days, and after rebooting it again it returned. The issue likely wasn’t local—it happened elsewhere, as I could still reach it when Linksys lost the connection, while with ASUS I couldn’t log in right away.
It might be due to differences between your devices and the router and modem, which could still cause issues despite the ISP's assurance.
