Connection issues on Windows 7 with WiFi speed problems
My Windows 7 devices on my home WiFi perform extremely poorly—often under 100kb/s. The issue isn’t just browsing; even connecting to nearby computers is painfully slow. Most are using 802.11G cards on Intel Centrino hardware, yet they still can’t match the speeds their network adapters promise for local file transfers. I’m curious why Windows 7 behaves so differently from Windows 10 with the same cards. Is there something specific about the version or configuration that’s causing this discrepancy? And I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t dismiss it as a simple outdated suggestion.
