Laptop suddenly disconnects from home WiFi, other devices work fine. Works with wired connection too. No issues on external networks. When connected, Windows shows "No internet, secured". Diagnostics reveal "wifi doesn't have a valid ip configuration". Router logs show laptop marked as static, others as DCHP. Uses Intel AC 9560 card. Router is ASUS AX88U with latest ASUSWRT Merlin 384.14 firmware. Previous fixes included CMD reset, netsh winsock, driver updates, router power cycles, changing bands, resetting adapter, disabling security software. Need assistance.

I would navigate to the Wi-Fi configuration on Windows and confirm the settings were updated to DHCP for that network. It seems you might have either a fixed IP configured on the laptop while the router doesn’t recognize it, or a fixed IP set on the laptop with another static IP assigned to the router at the same time, leading to a conflict.

You've confirmed everything is set up correctly. I noticed you had a static IP for your NAS and DHCP on your laptop, which is great. You were wondering why the issue persisted despite that. Your suggestion to assign a static IP to your laptop was helpful, and it worked! It seems the problem might have been elsewhere.

I noticed my fix should function at home, but outside it would need to switch back to the regular DHCP configuration. That’s not ideal.

Consider setting a fixed IP address on the router, allowing the laptop to remain on DHCP regardless of location.

The issue is DHCP isn't functioning on that laptop within their home WiFi network.
