You recently assembled your new PC and connected an Ethernet cable, but it isn’t being recognized. A friend who faced the same problem can assist. During troubleshooting, certain issues become apparent.

Download the appropriate drivers from the official manufacturer site for your motherboard (search "make and model" on Google). Install the chipset and LAN driver as needed.

Check the instructions provided. If they mention offline options, follow those steps. Otherwise, you may need to access the internet first.

After that, obtain the drivers from another computer and move them onto your new machine via a USB flash drive.

Your PC should be able to identify your Ethernet cable once it's connected.
