your asus z490 gaming has an 10900k processor. when you power it on for the first time daily, it fails to connect to the internet. after restarting the network, it functions properly. you're using a new Ethernet cable and router that are around 1.5 years old. it's just slow—waiting about five minutes each time. help needed!

It seems like a configuration or scripting element. Likely adjustable via Windows settings.

I've searched for online forums that might assist with your issue, but I couldn't find any relevant communities. Would you like me to suggest some general resources instead?

I think this might be an unusual issue specific to Windows and not worth discussing here. It often appears unexpectedly. While I’m not as comfortable with Windows 10 as it could help, I believe searching for the problem should reveal several relevant solutions. Many suggestions seem to push for purchasing a product, which probably isn’t helpful, but some will actually provide clear answers. A few will try overly complicated methods, but reviewing them should give you enough insight to find the right approach.

Get the newest motherboard drivers from Asus straight away. Remove the old ones, even if they were recent, and install fresh versions. Are there any other gadgets between your computer and the router that carry Ethernet? Have you experimented with a different port on the router? What brand and model is your router?

I just changed the port on my router, and it seems to have resolved the issue. Before that, I tried updating the drivers, which was a solid initial move. However, I hadn’t considered adjusting the router’s port settings. My ASUS RT-AC1200g is the model in question.
