Hello friends, my laptop is having trouble staying connected to the Wi-Fi router. It repeatedly attempts to link before noticing no networks are available, even with neighboring devices. The only fix seems to be toggling the Wi-Fi settings on and off a few times in my laptop's network preferences, which then restarts the connection after a short wait. This issue started recently, affecting just this machine—my other devices work perfectly. One of them is a T530 running the same operating system. I suspect a hardware problem since I have a 9-year-old Lenovo T500 with a damaged screen held together awkwardly. It runs Linux Mint 17.3 with MATE desktop. I’m not sure what else might be causing this, but before I dispose of it, I’d like to rule out any software-related problems. I hope anyone has some suggestions.
