I have two computers connected on your network, Upstairs-PC and Downstairs-PC. Both use Windows 11. After reinstalling Windows 11 on the downstairs PC, sharing seems to work fine, but accessing \\Downstairs-PC still shows incorrect credentials. Both devices are signed in with your Microsoft account. I've tried using your email as a username and different password formats, including the system password and your Microsoft account password. Nothing is working. I've turned off the firewall on both systems just in case. Any suggestions?

Execute net use /d * /y on both systems and retry. This clears all active connections and should let you establish a new session. Windows often retains SMB login details, so this will reset your access.

Hey there, I think I saw what you were referring to. I posted about it on Neowin yesterday too—sharing folders under home/pro can be tricky sometimes. Try turning off sharing and then back on, and double-check the permissions for that user are set to read/write.
