I’m having trouble linking to my Wi-Fi. The network card I’m using is the TP-LINK N300 and all the drivers are installed correctly. Still, I can’t establish a connection. I’ve repeated checking my internet password, and it’s correct—no mistakes there.

Have you managed to link to this network using the NIC before? Are other devices able to join? Does this computer support connecting to additional networks? Have you attempted to remove and reinstall the NIC drivers completely? Clearing IP settings as previously advised would help. You might also disable IPv6 in the NIC's configuration if it's active. Have you allowed the PC to lose its network connection and then reattach it?

Same issue. Connection fails when trying commands since I initially turn off my Ethernet adapter, causing the OS to recognize the Wi-Fi adapter instead.

Also, I didn’t test it on another computer since I only have a Windows 10 system there. I’m able to connect fine with other devices. I just removed and then reinstalled all the drivers recently. How do you reset the IP settings? Also, my network never got saved on my PC because it couldn’t connect initially.

Review the ipconfig /release command from your previous post. Consider additional steps: disable IPv6, switch wireless mode to something like 802.11b to confirm support, disable the NIC then re-enable it. Make sure IPv4 is active on the NIC and turn off power-saving features. Verify whether the IP address is being assigned manually or through DHCP. If either is possible, try switching between them and reconnect. Experiment with changing the NIC's channel width. Manually enter network details in the Network and Sharing Centre to test connectivity. Turn off any antivirus software and briefly disable Windows Firewall to see if connection improves.
