Recently I've experienced problems with my internet, especially disconnecting from games like Apex, Valorant, Halo MCC, and other online platforms. After investigating, I used a steady ping to Google via command prompt to check for issues. It turned out that each time I lost connection during a game or Discord call, my prompt displayed "Request timed out." Testing with a router ping confirmed everything was fine there. Notably, this only affected gaming and Discord; YouTube, Google, and live streaming on Twitch worked perfectly. I suspect the problem isn't with my ISP since it only happens on my PC, and other Ethernet connections in the house seem stable. I've searched for similar issues but found nothing. I'm going to try everything now—I feel like I've done everything possible. Thanks ahead!

This happens every time I disconnect. When the request times out, I’m removed from any game and Discord displays a 5000 ping, similar to losing internet. The difference is that I remain online and my Google functions correctly.

Is the system linked through Wi-Fi or Ethernet? Provide a visual layout showing which devices connect to reach the WAN link, including specific network equipment brands.

The logs do not indicate any warnings at the moments when you face the interruptions. Regarding the router, it appears to be functioning normally.

You should look at the status logs on the modem itself, not just the command prompt pings.

You’re linking straight to the modem. Is this device from your ISP or did you purchase it to swap another model? Are you connected to Spectrum? I’m missing the login details for this Hitron, but I see others facing the same trouble. Should I try powering it off briefly then turning it back on?

It was supplied by spectrum, correct. I’ll attempt to disable it, though I’m unsure how effective it will be since it only impacts me. It could simply be a misunderstanding on my part.

I disabled it for roughly two minutes, but the request keeps timing out.
