I'm having trouble connecting to both Wi-Fi and Ethernet. After checking my internet setup and performing a network reset, I restarted the PC but still can't access the internet. In Device Manager, I see a yellow triangle for my TP Link USB adapter, and when I try to fix it, the driver issues persist. The status in Network & Internet settings shows "Not connected" with a yellow warning. Some suggest a second network reset, but that didn’t help. A third party VPN isn’t active, and other devices work fine. I’ve tried reinstalling the driver from the manufacturer site, but it still doesn’t resolve the problem. The router seems normal, and the adapter works on other machines. People keep recommending another network reset, but I’m unsure what to do next. I don’t want to format my system or lose any saved data, so I just need my internet back. What should I try next?

Have you attempted a system reboot? It could be resolving the issue with a simple reset

He mentioned he has experienced similar issues before. Perhaps you could reset the network settings on your computer. It doesn’t appear to be a router or modem issue, but rather something related to your PC. You might try removing the device drivers and instead of installing them from the site, just plug it in—installation should then happen automatically.

Sorry to hear that. It wasn't a simple read.

I reinitialized the network, removed the drivers, and reinserted the USB after the reset, but the problem persisted.

The setup might be incorrect, which could affect your connection. The command prompt will display details about your IP configuration. On the network settings screen, you should see a line indicating an active internet connection.

The command indicates routing is active but the proxy feature isn't working. In the network and sharing center, it shows no connection to any networks despite attempts via Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

Yes, it confirmed the presence of an actual IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.

Only the commands you entered were displayed; the default gateway and IP address weren't shown.

It looks like your connection to the modem isn’t established, so you’ll need to set it up yourself. Check if you can view its IP address and subnet mask by accessing the modem. If not, contact your service provider for assistance.
