On Saturday afternoon I performed Windows 10 updates on my computer. Before the changes took effect, it was operating normally and had internet access. After completion, the PC restarted without problems and now works correctly except for losing internet connection via both wireless and Ethernet. I've tried several troubleshooting actions—rebooted, powered down, reset router, ran diagnostics, checked firewall settings, disabled network adapters, reinstalled drivers, updated BIOS, refreshed DNS—but still face an error stating media disconnected for all connections. I also removed the recent updates and attempted a full reinstall since I don’t have the restore tool. My hardware appears intact. I can still reach the router via PC and access its admin interface, while other connected devices function properly. I’m unsure what to do next. Here are my system details: - Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus z390 WiFi Pro - Operating System: Windows 10 Pro. I value any suggestions you might have.

Thank you for your message. I’m trying to understand. Are you suggesting resetting the BIOS to its original settings? Yes, I went through the BIOS and updated it to the newest release during troubleshooting.

Initiate a reset of the PC rather than a factory reset, or consider using the BIOS reset for your HDD/SSD. If that doesn’t help, I don’t have any other guidance on what to do.

You can perform a repair reinstall by placing the ISO file on your desktop (once transferred from another device) and then executing setup.exe

Consider resetting, updating, or restarting your SSD or HDD; it could help (it functioned in a PC simulation).

The SSD or HDD doesn’t have a BIOS update process like a motherboard does; most systems use firmware updates instead. Only certain SSD models may support firmware upgrades, and in general, this is considered a backup option since it could erase all your information.

It's really strange, but by then the SSD or HDD seems to be faulty.

It might be due to corrupted OS files.

Consider alternative approaches such as updating to a newer version or testing a beta release. If reinstalling Windows is necessary, opt for an insider build—registration required. Are there any network storage devices or shares connected to your device? Did you adjust router configurations beyond basic SSID and password settings? You’ve shared a detailed troubleshooting list, which is helpful, but I’m curious about the outcome if you connected the computer straight to the cable modem (assuming it’s an ISP-provided unit).
