Previously, my computer would lose connection from the Wi-Fi during screen sharing for around five minutes on Discord. I connect directly via Ethernet to my router. My home has gigabit fiber with download and upload speeds exceeding 900 Mbps. When this issue occurs, my ping spikes up to 5000 and I drop out of the call after about thirty seconds, then reconnect quickly. It tends to resolve when using my PC's built-in network card instead of an Ethernet cable. Is there a solution to this problem?

Are you asking if it functions through the motherboard's port instead of needing an expansion card?

Stupid question I have to ask that fixed more things than I care to think about when I worked regular IT support: have you updated the drivers or the application recently? 'Cause Windows screws things by its nature.

employs a distinct card just for Wi-Fi; for Ethernet, I connect it straight to the motherboard since it lacks a built-in NIC.

I made all the changes, but I had to reset my PC completely for other reasons. Even after that, the problem remains.

Check if the problem is resolved. I've tested with my 3080 and Ryzen 7 5800X. Also, note that screensharing games on Discord causes choppiness.
