Hello,
I’m currently not building anything but I’d like to start planning how to do it.
My goal is to set up a gaming desktop at my desk with two monitors, a wired keyboard, and a wired mouse connected to the gaming PC. I also have a work laptop that I need to connect and disconnect easily when leaving home for the office. Can I link my work laptop to my gaming setup so I can use all the monitors, keyboard, and mouse, and switch between them at the end of the day? I’m considering using a USB dock or hub because my laptop has several USB-C ports. Any suggestions?
Thank you for your help!

Unknown. The majority of laptops lack two external monitor connections. The manufacturer might offer a docking station that accommodates two displays.
What is the model of your laptop?

Is that a G8 or a G9 model laptop?

But according to the G8 specifications on the HP website, it includes Thunderbolt ports. You could convert it to a Thunderbolt to HDMI video adapter. That would provide two HDMI ports.

For a KVM adapter, you need a single video port. Then you'd be able to use something like this —
