The Z690 Tomahawk supports Bluetooth 5.2, yet connecting my earbuds worked fine and streaming YouTube videos produced static instead of sound. The device manager shows a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark indicating the Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) isn’t starting. I’m unsure if this is the main issue, but I hope a fix can be found. P.S. I’ve already tried removing and reinstalling the RFCOMM, checked for updates, but it didn’t resolve the problem.

It suggests something is off with the driver, yet one is active and not turned off. If it had been disabled, a black indicator would appear. Which Bluetooth version are the earbuds using? Did they connect properly? Because Bluetooth can work backward, the connection will follow the simplest protocol. Have you ever paired another device successfully with either of these?

It linked properly, though I’m uncertain about the exact version. It seems to work with my Samsung S10.

This aspect also meets the criteria. How would you describe it?

It suggests a possible issue with your phone's connection to the PC, but it doesn't clarify the exact problem.

It’s very likely. It might have been a simple connection error. Did you check discovery on both devices? One needs to be discoverable while the other initiates the search. Hmm… I haven’t considered Bluetooth that way before…
