A faster connection like 2.5Gbps would likely improve streaming quality and speed compared to a standard 1Gbps link. Resolution might also increase, but the main benefit would be smoother playback.

The Steam Link features a 100Mbit network card, making it irrelevant.

Unless Ja55ie refers to a Steam link app on a different device, it might need more details for clarity.

Absolutely, a dedicated Steam PC featuring a 2.5Gbps RJ45 connection works well across all devices.

I believe the main constraint is the codec for data compression, not the network speed. If it were, they would provide 1Gbps rather than 100Mbps.

The bitrate must stay well below Gigabit levels; reaching 100Mbit is unlikely since encoders/decoders usually cap there. The Steam client suggests a maximum of 75Mbit as the highest setting, while unlimited offers a warning about increased latency.
