Connecting to Wi-Fi network Authentication process in progress
You might attempt a power cycle of your router or try reinstalling Windows. If the Windows reinstallation succeeds, it suggests either a registry or system file corruption, or both. If the TCP/UDP IP network software in Windows is corrupted, using a ping to the loopback address can help verify this.
This would also affect their Ethernet connectivity. The user confirmed they can connect via Ethernet without any problems.
Also if you haven't, forget your Wi-Fi connection in Windows. You might end up stuck with an incorrect IP or missing network access. Unless Fast Boot is turned off, you're not really restarting the services that manage Wi-Fi. It's because Fast Boot is unnecessary, and it prevents proper reboots from resolving issues. With it enabled, you just power cycle your computer, which restarts services and parts of the OS.
Thank you all for your support! I just finished reinstalling Windows 10, but it didn’t fix the problem. I’ll look into what the other recent suggestion means and update you soon.
Great news, a fix was achieved! I cleared the DNS in the Command Prompt and adjusted my Wi-Fi settings. I divided my network between 2.4GHz and 5GHz, changed their names and passwords, then restarted everything. Thanks for all the advice!
