Connecting several aRGB parts via 2 hubs
Connecting several aRGB parts via 2 hubs
I’m just starting with RGB lighting and have these components with an RGB connection. The case includes an RGB hub, and the fan hub already has its own setup. The hubs use SATA power and support daisy chaining. I need advice on linking my aRGB devices to the single header on my Asus Rog Strix z790-e gaming wifi ii. Should I connect both hubs together?
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Explore the details of the Asus Rog Strix z790-e gaming wifi ii.
Page 1-2 explains that your motherboard supports 3x ARGB headers, enabling connections without hubs. The RTX4080 will be controlled by Armory Crate, Asus's exclusive software.
For Light Wings fans, the hub can accommodate up to 6x ARGB fans, allowing you to connect your 3x case fans and 2x cooler fans on a single hub. This hub can then link to one header on your motherboard.
Hi, thank you for your message! I realize now that I overlooked those 3 aRGB headers in the manual, which made things much simpler. I plan to place the fans on the hub and the cooler directly on the board—note that the cooler has an argb panel, not two argb fans. Curious, though: would it be okay to connect the aRGB hub input to the output of the preinstalled fan hub? Is it a good idea to chain hubs?
