8 Apartments setup. One has full internet. Others link via that router. The one with the router uses an extender. Does this impact the rest? Or is all 8 fairer? It probably doesn’t matter much. Let me know. /Makko edit: Router model ZyXEL P-2812

Generally, it might not be the most intelligent approach to share a single main router among eight apartments.

You might remove the Ethernet connection from your home and plug it into a power socket, damaging whatever was at the other end, but that wouldn’t be just or reasonable for others.

The logic behind my earlier comment is that if eight distinct individuals use the same network, it's possible for one person—perhaps unaware of their own limitations—to oversee all network activities and obtain access to the others' information.

If I possessed the insight, I could bypass *anything*. (Note: This wasn’t the request you made, so the focus shifts.) What would happen if I shared this kind of capability? A vivid scenario could unfold.

I find it unwise to let eight unrelated individuals manage a single router. Typically, when I seek guidance, I expect them to clarify their perspective so I can grasp why it might be sensible in my specific context.

I’m focusing on whether any issues with financing or usage might impact the other units. Just confirming if there’s a risk of problems affecting them.
