I recently received a new router to improve range and connectivity with my home Wi-Fi. I’m unsure if I need to buy additional equipment. My connection uses Bell DSL, and I have the router/modem package they provided. Is it possible to disable the router portion and use only the modem for my new Ethernet router?

Switch your current modem or router into bridge mode, then your new router should function properly.

Search for a configuration named bridge mode. If not available, contact your ISP to check if they can assist.

Maybe it’s better to turn off the modem component you just received.
