You cannot obtain video via Ethernet because the port is intended only for connecting the TV to the internet through tethering (as indicated on page 7 of your manual). HDMI will work instead.

Yes, Ethernet isn't sufficient. It only provides access to data streams for the "smart" functions of your device, and it doesn't transmit video signals.
