Router 1 and Router 2 are linked by a thick wired cable across two floors. The setup didn’t work as expected—AP mode activated but only two separate Wi-Fi networks appeared. The AC68U can connect directly to the Ax58U, while the AC68U cannot reach the Ax58U. You can merge the networks manually. Also, the AC68U has two USB ports available for additional devices.

This SSID remains consistent across devices. Your routers support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, offering flexibility in connectivity. You can connect multiple devices using the same network name while switching between speed options. The USB ports on the main router provide external storage options, and the second router also offers additional ports for further setup.

Understand this idea now and use it in your own context. Yes. Check the router's manual about which ports work. Usually, USB ports let you connect external drives, printers, or 4G/LTE modems. But certain models may have particular requirements.

I believe the answer lies in arranging them in a mesh pattern within the specified area, then disconnecting it for a wired setup.
