I appreciate your honesty about the challenges you're facing. Let's break this down. You're considering connecting both homes with a high-speed setup—gigabit Ethernet and a Plex server—to improve remote access. However, your current upload speeds are limited to 15 Mbps, which makes streaming and large files difficult. Mounting an antenna access point like the TP-Link CPE510 could help boost speeds between the two locations. Your goal is clear: use your network only for file sharing and Plex viewing, while keeping Netflix streaming on their own connection for better performance. I've tried to simplify the setup process so you can get clarity on next steps.

Are there any visible connections between the two properties? If yes, you'll require directional dish antennas. If not, skip it.

Clear view in place, but I'm concerned about IP addresses being misplaced

It focuses on the key router features—specifically Plex availability for security reasons instead of a fully open network. If you share the current IP subnets on each LAN, I can create a plan later. Let me know if you'd like to message me so I remember.

01:30 here lol, I'm starting my research on IP subnets since I'm really new to networking. The left router is an Honor Router 3, while the right one is a standard ISP modem/router/switch/AP combo (I can get a separate switch or router if needed). I also updated the diagram and it's available on this website.
