Your Intel Wireless AC 9260 supports up to 5GHz and 160MHz channels. To use both frequencies, ensure your adapter settings allow dual-band operation and verify that the router is configured for 5GHz as well. If the hotspot only shows a 20MHz channel, adjust the adapter or router settings accordingly.

You should open Command Prompt and check if your Wi-Fi card supports hosted network. Type NETSH WLAN show drivers to confirm. If supported, proceed by running NETSH WLAN set hostednetwork mode=allow with the SSID and password you wish to use. After that, type NETSH WLAN start hostednetwork to activate it. Make sure internet connection sharing is turned on via Control Panel → Network & Internet → Network & Sharing → Properties → Sharing → enable it.
