I'm using a 400/500 GB eVO 860 SSD as my primary storage and added a 240 GB TeamLite SSD for another laptop. Both are connected to my main PC for installing Windows. When I tried to migrate the OS with EaseUS, the SSD wasn't large enough, but I don’t want to move everything—just a fresh Windows installation on a separate drive.

On different platforms, you place the Windows installer on a USB drive and follow the standard installation process. Keys for Windows are affordable on G2A and similar sites.

The process won’t allow cloning due to size constraints. You’ll need to use Microsoft’s Windows ISO Tool, build a bootable drive, and install Windows directly from there. Insert the new SSD into the desired laptop and set up Windows that way.

I transferred my Windows from a 1TB HDD to a 156GB SSD, reduced the 1TB space to 156GB, and carried everything over. This wasn’t ideal—plus, I had a Windows 10 key from Kinguin priced at $20.

You can replicate it with Macrium Reflect. Checking this forum will show you numerous solutions (people ask the same issue regularly).
