My PC is now quite distant from your router—around 10 meters away. To improve the connection, you purchased a long Ethernet cable. Your brother recently built a computer, but if you can, you'd prefer not to install another cable since it runs along the ceiling and would require significant effort to change. Could it be feasible to attach a network switch at the end of your existing Ethernet cable and connect two additional switches to link both computers? Thanks a lot!

Avoid products labeled with "fast ethernet." It's a contradiction, and the speed is just 100Mbit.

Consider consulting a student majoring in computer networking for expert advice. D-Link is a reputable brand, but other options like Cisco or Netgear are also worth exploring.

I've been employing this switch on my desk for several years, and it's under $20.
