The specifications seem mixed up. Motherboard lists memory types like DDR4-3000 or DDR4-2666, while RAM lists speeds such as 3000MHz or 3600MHz. The mismatch is clear—speed numbers don’t always match the type listed. If your CPU supports 3600MHz and you don’t overclock, the RAM should work at that speed. The 3600MHz RAM will likely run smoothly without issues.

You're right, but many people believe RAM speed isn't crucial for the motherboard specs.

DDR4 is a specification that supports speeds up to 3200 MHz. Anything beyond that requires overclocking. To achieve 3600 MHz, you must turn on RAM overclocking in the BIOS settings.

Without overclocking, the stock settings would likely keep the processor at a lower frequency, probably around 3000 rather than 3200.

I understand, but I’m not sure. I usually use 2666 MHz RAM. There’s a video by JayzTwoCents that explains ways to speed up your PC without cost. You might find the tips there helpful.

It will operate at the maximum JEDEC speed in the SPD, ranging from around 2133 to 2400, or possibly up to 3200, depending on the manufacturer's setup. Just turn on XMP in the BIOS.

Sure, it should work fine. The speed of your system shouldn't prevent it from posting.

Motherboard model: ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus
RAM type: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3600
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
I'm asking this question right away because I don't want to post after DRAM is already used, and I wanted to confirm the RAM was correct.

It functions without needing to interact with BIOS configurations, and the XMP profile also performs well.
