Windows 8.1 and 10 include several chipset drivers by default. For complete certainty, you can still install Windows 7 drivers if needed.

He mentioned checking that section before. If you choose Windows 8.1 from the options, see how few results appear. But picking Windows 7 shows many available downloads.

I was considering this but wasn't confident. I'm about to begin the stress test to find out how much performance this old machine can handle. It's puzzling why my RAM is stuck at 550MHz—I need to dig a bit deeper.

Ensure your Ethernet/Wi-Fi drivers are set up, and Windows will typically install additional drivers as needed. Verify Device Manager for any warning symbols, which suggest missing or faulty drivers.

Sorry about that. The motherboard is outdated, which might mean drivers aren't updated properly.
