I'm honest to say my past work with UD7's BIOS and my later calls to Gigabyte's help desk are why I haven't purchased any Gigabyte items in about ten years. Their service was really unpleasant.
Also clean the canisters. Remove the compartments and verify no debris is lodged near the connections. It's unclear whether this will make a difference, but it could be useful if you're replacing all parts.
After simplifying and repositioning everything, the problems remain unresolved. The beep speaker is now playing a long continuous looped beep (Award BIOS) indicating a RAM error. It seems the board might not be working properly. Before giving up, consider if there are other fixes or alternatives you could try before accepting 8GB of RAM on your current machine for 3D tasks.
