Confirmation issued about Mass Effect 4!
I'm excited about the Mass Effect series. While ME3 left me feeling down, I'm curious about its future and how it handles Shepard's departure. If it focuses on the Reapers, I wonder if they'll turn them into enemies again after making it impossible for them to return—since ME3 did that. (By the way, I like Dick Grayson more than Tim Drake.)
Mass Effect is an impressive series that inspires admiration, especially considering its origins with Bioware after they divided their team when they acquired the rights to a Star Wars title (KOTOR). (Off Topic: Tim Drake holds a special spot in my view)
They mentioned they’d shift focus from Shepard and the Reapers. The experience is going to be very different, almost like a major change in direction. I still can’t wait for more content from this universe! (I’d really like to see the Krogan rebellion drive the narrative of their new game.)
Yes, they did say that, but I did not know they said it about the Reapers as well! Maybe that explains the rumor of not having the title "Mass Effect". A Krogan uprising would mean a war or conflict against them from the other races. I think they have been decimated enough.
I initially thought the Reapers played a role mainly during Shepard's era (besides Protheans, which is a shame since they didn't fully utilize the lore they introduced), but now I'm considering a different perspective. It could definitely be interesting politically if we explore another viewpoint.
It was previously disclosed that the project will utilize the Frostbite 3 engine.
We understand what we know about ME 4. It won’t be named ME 4. It features the Mako, a hack whose only writing credits are in Mass Effect 3 (by Mac Walters) who got promoted to Casey Hudson’s role (don’t worry... you’ll too). The main writer is the developer behind the last Halo title. I don’t feel any excitement for this project and I enjoyed Mass Effect and ME 2. A Mac Walters team for ME4? Not my style. Thanks for the memories from Bioware. If they bring back Drew Karpyshyn and hire Mac, I’ll be all in.
A fresh installment of Mass Effect is now verified, but the absence of official artwork and titles on Amazon is due to a lack of authorized versions.
