You're looking to create a RAID 10 setup without an onboard controller or PCIe slots. It sounds like you're aiming for a software-based solution in Windows. You mentioned setting up mirrored volumes and then combining them into a striped volume. That’s a solid approach. Just make sure your system meets the requirements for RAID 10, such as having at least two drives and ensuring proper controller support. Let me know if you need help with the steps!

And yes, USB RAID controllers likely do exist, though they can be costly. Software RAID is free, and I’m not sure why you’d want the more expensive option anyway.

Windows storage areas can achieve this using a single virtual disk, eliminating the need for mirrors and stripes. Configure a storage pool that includes all drives, then build a virtual disk with two columns and mirror resiliency settings.

I've encountered this before, but I'm unsure about accessing Windows storage areas. It mentions searching in the taskbar, yet switching languages often changes app names, making it hard to locate programs by their original English names.

Well, like I said, that doesn't work because my windows installation is German and that means I can't search for any windows applications, unless I use the german name Like I tried to explain When I search for it, there is no " Manage Storage Spaces" (except as a bing search)

I believe I located it within the window settings and I’m confident I did it, thank you.

In reality, we couldn't determine the language. Could you tell us how you discovered the setting?
