I've faced a few challenges setting up my router to forward ports for a Minecraft server using UniFi's tool. My ISP is AT&T Fiber and I've enabled passthrough. I've experimented with forwarding rules on both the AT&T router (BGW320-500) and the UDM Pro, adjusted the default Minecraft port, tried TCP and UDP settings, and even looked at random solutions on Reddit. After switching it on and off multiple times, I'm still unsure what might be causing the issue. Being on the same network helped but only made the port accessible locally. It's been a frustrating five hours with no progress.

Pass-through works regardless of CGNAT status. Typically, a fixed public IP is necessary for successful port forwarding.

It's accurate that running a site through a personal connection tends to be restricted by the ISP, especially from major providers such as AT&T or Comcast.

Yes, you can bypass the blockage and assign your own static IP address through your router's settings or by using a DHCP alternative.

The IP address comes from your internet service provider, together with any limits they impose on personal accounts. Occasionally, a higher cost is charged for a fixed IP, and it might be restricted to corporate profiles instead.

Everyone believes OP is responsible for CGNAT because it seems logical that he should have a public IP on his AT&T router or since it's bridged on the UDM Pro. If you're using passthrough, ensure the AT&T router operates in full bridge mode—then your UDM Pro will receive a public IP without needing port forwarding there. Simply turn off unnecessary settings inside the router and rely on the UDM Pro for routing. The guide linked should help: https://www.hostinger.com/tutorials/how-...aft-server. Even with a changing AT&T IP, it should remain stable over time without causing problems.
