Yes, PFSense includes a driver specifically designed for the network card you're processing.

It seems the feature isn't available in FreeBSD by default. Would you like me to check if a different Wi-Fi card supports it?

I’m considering using the USB Ethernet adapter as a backup option. Before jumping in, I plan to test it with what I already have. My goal is to make the laptop function as a firewall, similar to how I’ve set up rules before. I also have another router—my ISP connection—that connects to the WAN interface so devices can access the internet. I’ve sketched this setup in my mind.

Yes, I have two devices—a TP Link and a ProLink—both failed, and they sent the same notification.

Avoid dual NAT settings. Ensure the firewall configurations are appropriate for your needs. A simple home router should suffice. You likely won’t require pfSense.

You're wondering if it's truly ready for use. You can verify by testing it yourself or reaching out for confirmation.

Search for the chipset used by the cards and check compatibility with FreeBSD. Alternatively, opt for a wired router and employ a different access point.

I have configured certain QOS, bandwidth restrictions, and data usage limits. These adjustments aren't present on the ISP router. I've also attempted to use that ISP SIM in another router, but it doesn't work. Their router doesn't display any APN settings since you're using auto-detection, and they don't provide that information for some reason. The SIM only functions within that specific router, leaving no option to remove it.

Then configure the PFSSystem as a wired setup only, and let your other router handle wireless connections.
