Looking for guidance on configuring a LAN for BF2 on PC using Ethernet cables. You've already set it up on your PS2s, but finding reliable instructions online has been tough. Have anyone else tried this setup? It should be a LAN connection without needing internet access.

You essentially need to launch the game server inside the game itself, allowing others to join via the server browser with LAN filtering turned on.

In short, that's the main idea I recall.

I'll proceed once the other laptop is installed. Thanks for your assistance! And I'll note your solutions as the best if they suit me.

It appears the login process isn't functioning as expected. Could you clarify where you entered your credentials on the GameSpy servers?

It seems the GameSpy isn't functioning properly. I'm not sure why it's not working in a straightforward way.

GameSpy seems to have stopped working. I connected both devices to Wi-Fi using a simple switch, but neither one is responding. One is running Windows 10 directly, the other is in a Bootcamp setup. Might that be causing the issue?

Consider configuring the firewall to handle exceptions manually.

I'll attempt it once the other laptop is sufficiently charged. I'll simply turn off the firewall completely.

Same issue again, the LAN game isn<|pad|>. One uses Windows 8.1, the other Windows 7. Got any suggestions? Could’ve missed something.
