Hello, how are you? I'm looking to create a compact PC for the living room with your Xbox One controller as the main input. While Steam works well overall, I also have games on Uplay and Origin. Do you have any ideas about software or a front-end that could let me switch between these platforms in full screen while using the controller? Thanks!

You can create direct desktop shortcuts for Uplay and Origin titles, allowing Steam to recognize them as non-Steam games.

The only method I’m aware of that lets you use a controller as your main input without needing a separate keyboard and trackpad is Steam OS. But since it runs on Linux, your game options might be restricted. I recommend bringing along a portable keyboard and trackpad for Windows navigation, then using GAMAD in games. This setup works well for my fiancé’s system. She uses a small battery-powered keyboard with a built-in receiver that comes with the package.

Consider that modern Xbox One controllers include built-in Bluetooth, while earlier models need a dongle or a direct micro USB connection.
