i configured the dual port gigabit intel nic with teaming set to switch independent and load balancing as dynamic. initially, file transfers reached up to 1Gbps even with two separate 1GB clients, though the theoretical limit is 2Gbps. after switching to LACP for teaming and hash-based load balancing, speeds started around 80 Mbps, fluctuating significantly. I observed occasional spikes exceeding 15 Mbps. there seems to be a possibility of achieving closer to the 2Gbps theoretical capacity or maintaining a stable 1Gbps transfer rate.

I'm not sure about the available options. To reach 2Gbps I had to configure my teams as Static Link Aggregation instead of using redundant 1Gbps, then adjust the switch settings. I tried using the network card drivers in Windows 7, but only one machine was running Server 2012, which I managed from Windows. I don't recall the exact steps and the trial period has ended. Perhaps I can try booting it again and verify the settings now.

I recently switched to static teaming and it’s now more stable, reaching closer to 1Gbps. It’s a bit smoother overall.

Set up a RAM disk on both server and client machines for your tests. Use iperf to evaluate performance without interference from other systems.
