you have a used pc ready for a minecraft server. you want it to start automatically when you press the power button. since it's not powerful, focus on lightweight setups. set up a minimal os like linux or a simple windows version. use a lightweight server software such as minecraft server or a dedicated game server tool. ensure it runs without graphics and uses only usb storage if supported by bios. for control via teamviewer, make sure the interface supports it. consider ram upgrades later when you have more resources.

Need a lot more than two gigabytes of RAM, or the program will perform extremely slowly

2GB of RAM works just fine... It can handle three users at most. Plus, don’t try to run a modded server on this setup!

mcmyadmin offers a user-friendly web interface with full functionality. Setting it up can be challenging, but the results are highly satisfying.

It won't reach such high popularity yet, so I’ll upgrade to a dual-core processor and 4GB RAM. You’re still welcome to help me, even with the hardware limitations. I can assist with setup for educational use—just let me know what you need done. I understand you might not mind lag at the moment, as long as it’s completed. You could also consider purchasing a dedicated host if that helps.

For optimal performance with minimal RAM and CPU consumption, consider lightweight operating systems like Linux distributions such as Lubuntu, Xubuntu, or even minimal versions of Ubuntu. These options provide a balance between functionality and resource efficiency.

In reality, I didn’t allocate 1.5GB of RAM to my MC server. It performed well with around 8 players and max TPS. I’m just trying to finish this with Iron now—I don’t mind if it handles fewer players, but I’ll upgrade later once it’s done.

It supports Java 8. For Linux and Windows Server, it works as well. Let me know if you need more details!
