The current system lacks color accuracy, so those choices are unavailable. Would you prefer to change the monitor settings instead?
The OSD is quite compact and the controls are somewhat responsive. I sent an email a few weeks ago asking if they offered Windows software (such as display widgets from Asus) so I could adjust settings, but only received a reply with my message. What version of Linux is used on your device? I own an Eve ES07D03, and the OSD appears small for clear viewing while controls feel sensitive.
Even with ASUS, the OSD remains frustrating. Manufacturers seem determined to create an uncomfortable experience.
ASUS offers downloadable software for Windows to modify OSD settings. EVE provides a less than ideal system.
I'm unsure about the Asus mx279h; I've always appreciated how easy it is to set up. My MSI monitor is a bit more complicated, especially with the joystick controls. Still, since I've adjusted settings since the Sony Trinitron in the 70s, maybe it's not as difficult for me compared to others. I once calibrated my mom's TV and found it perfect—though she thought it looked washed out. People actually like overly saturated colors. The default usually works fine.
